Life without playing jv/varsity sports?
next year i'm going to be a sophomore in high school and my freshman year was pretty rough. I went into high school pretty excited because i was looking forward to playing football and lacrosse for the school teams. It turned out that sports were not fun for me anymore. I didnt seem to enjoy playing them as much. The coaches took everything way too seriously and put way too much pressure on me and i couldnt handle it. All the pressure and the practices almost everyday made me exhausted so i didn't have motivation to do homework well or study and my grades fell due to this. At every practice i questioned whether i really wanted to put up with this anymore. During middle school i was good at the sports i played and i also had fun playing them but things changed in high school. Im considering not trying out for the football and lacrosse team next year and join the sport leagues run within the school that are just for fun and not taken as seriously. Do you think this is a good idea? I also busted up my knee pretty badly at the end of the lacrosse season and for order for me to play again i have to bust my *** off the whole summer and rehab/workout alot and i question whether its even worth it. Im just concerned if i will lose some of my friends and i guess my "social standing" if i decide to quit lacrosse and football. thanks for the help
